The TrainFor17th App is designed to help the user train for and pass the NECIC 17th Edition exam. Runs on IOS 5.1.1. to IOS 8.1. The questions are all based on real questions from the actual exam. In Exam Mode it emulates the actual exam conditions thus familiarising the user with the exam format and functionality. In Trainer Mode the user can work through 120 questions chosen at random from all the possible questions available and learn how to answer them correctly by referencing the 17th Edition regulations. It is important that a copy of the regs is at hand to get the best from the Trainer and Exam Modes. The App can be closed at any time and when re-opened will continue from the last position. Passing the exam is not about knowing all the answers but knowing how to reference the regs to find the answers. In the App Settings either Exam Mode or Trainer Mode can be selected. There is also a section for Trainer Preferences. Current results can be viewed at any time in Trainer Mode. These take the form of a Bar Chart representing each part of the regs and the current percentage of correct answers in that part. There is also a page showing a running total of questions answered correctly from a possible amount of questions in each part. There are questions covering nine parts in all. Contents, seven parts of the actual regs and the Appendix. In Exam Mode there are sixty questions to answer picked at random. The user has two hours to complete the exam.
